Mark D. Spizzo is Executive-Vice President of Green Investment Group Inc. Spizzo has worked in the field of economic development for over 20 years. His experience includes a variety of positions in state government, non-for-profit development corporations, and development offices of private corporations. His responsibilities included delivery of State of Illinois economic development programs to entities in thirty-five counties in the state, and he has worked with Fortune 500 companies and others on expansions, new locations, and retrofits resulting in capital investment exceeding $850 million and creating more than 6,600 jobs.
Prior to involvement in economic development, Spizzo was a planner in emergency management and in the criminal justice system. He is a graduate of Illinois College in 1977 and completed his Master of Arts degree in 1979 at Sangamon State University.
